very time I sit with someone in law enforcement, whether they’re a rookie or a seasoned commander, I hear a familiar thread in their story. There was someone. Someone who inspired them. You can almost see it in their eyes when they talk about that person. That kind of leadership leaves a mark. That is the heartbeat of my new book, Love to Inspire, which will be released this September. It’s a book about real leaders, some you’ve heard of, most you haven’t, but each of them led with a fierce sense of purpose, humility, and heart. They didn’t inspire from the stage. They inspired up close. On the job. In the mess. With authenticity and courage. This book isn’t about theory. It’s about challenge.
